'Reflective Practice' was introduced in the class. The learning cycle with Plan, Act, Observe, and Reflect points was shown to the group and illustrate how this cycle is apply on driving.
Then the Kolb's learning cycle was taught to the class. There are four major groups in according to the Kolb's learning cycle: accommodating, assimilating, divergent, and convergent. They are group according to the following four features: doing, feeling, reflective, and thinking.
Next, we learned about three different Learning Theories, which are
- Behaviorism
- Cognitive
- Humanism
We had an activity where we discussed the features of an effective teacher.
Attitudes in a teacher are highly important in effective teaching.
We attend a presentation on Effective visual communication by Dr. Dinil Abeygunawardene. Dr. Dinil presented how the shapes that we used to illustrate our ideas can change the message easily. In addition, the effect of background, contrast, and brightness on conveying the message.
